Steve was born 1959 and is known as one of the foremost portrait painters in Britain having won numerous prizes and awards for his figurative watercolours. His current work includes paintings incorporating collage elements in diverse materials and sculptures made of clay, fibre and human hair, often referencing iconic works by great twentieth century artists such Van Gogh, Picasso, Dubuffet and Basquiat.
